2010 HQMA Track Championship Rules and Awards
RACE DAY INFORMATION
RACE FEES: $25/car
FUEL CHARGE: $3/car
TRANSPONDER RENTAL FEE: Currently no fees
Handlers will need to leave their driver's licencse when renting a transponder.
If you are using a personal transponder - please notify the head scorer at registration.
Registration:
REGISTRATION OPENS 1 - 1 1/2 hour prior to race time.
REGISTRATION CLOSES** at the beginning of the driver/handler meeting.
DRIVER/HANDLER MEETING begins 15 minutes prior to posted race time.
**If you arrive after registration closes you will go to the rear of the field.
Driver & Handlers MUST come to registration.
Bring your NEW QMA Badge or Gold copy of your membership application to every registration.
Every member must bring their new QMA badges to registration (gold copy of application if you havent received badge).
Race Order will be determined and announced by the race director on race day.
Judges will be assigned by the race director.
Corner workers will be the handlers for cars 1-4 for each race.
PIT AREA
Handlers must wear a wrist band to be in the pit area (you will receive band at registration).
Everyone and anyone in the Pit Area MUST have closed toe shoes (not just drivers). No Flip Flops, Sandals, etc. will be allowed.
Only 2 handlers per car allowed in the pit area.
Only 4 handlers may work on a car in the pits. No one outside the pit (fence) area may enter the pits to assist with car repair.
Practice times / Track Usage
Practice is open to all current HQMA members and Associate members. You may not be on the track and/or pit area if you are not a member of HQMA or associate member of HQMA.
SPEC TIRE RULE
Region 3 will use Hoosier A35 and Hoosier A40 exclusively for right side use in all 9 - 2010 Region 3 races.
Tires used in qualifying will be marked at the scales after qualifying. The same 2 tires must be used in the A Main of the class that the car qualified in. Tires that are used in 2 classes will be marked twice (i.e. if you qualify in Sr. Honda and Lt. 160 on the same 2 tires these same 2 tires must be used in both Sr. Honda and Lt. 160 A Mains) Tires will be checked again after the A Mains to insure compliance. Only tires that are punctured will be allowed to be changed. Punctured tire and replacement tire must be present to be checked by tech official.
Any left side tires will be allowed and all novice classes are exempt from the spec tire program and will be able to use any brand tire they wish.
TRACK FUEL
Track Fuel will be provided unless otherwise notified. If track fuel is not provided by HQMA, the test sample will come from the Conoco Gas Station located at the corner of Leeman Ferry and Drake Avenue. 87 octane is recommended.
CONCESSION STAND TABS
All concession tabs must be pre-paid. You can either leave a blank check or you can leave cash up front.
Tabs will be closed by the start of the last race.
